Gay and Lesbian Adoption
As we all know, there are way too many homeless children these days. In the year of 2001, there were approximately 542,000 children placed in foster care, just in the United States (Wald). Therefore, if there are so many children in need of a home, there shouldn’t be such bias judgment taking place against gay and lesbian adoption. There is no major difference between a homosexual couple and a heterosexual couple that should interfere with the adoption of a child. There are multiple reasons why gay and lesbian adoption should be treated no differently than heterosexual adoption. This should be one of the last considerations to be discussed during the process of adoption.
