It never fails to amaze me how ridiculously wrong the Holocaust was. It was the most horrifying event in history. I can't believe people almost automatically followed one person's unfair rules for no particular reason. People were tortured and killed for the simple fact that they were Jewish. Innocent men, woman & children were killed due to gas chambers, starvation, dehydration, or just by simply being shot to the head. In his book, Wiesel states that babies were being thrown into the air like targets for the guards to shoot and kill. It angers me that the world was so cruel during this time and it surprises me that the United States, as well as many other countries, looked the other way as if nothing was happening.
